The blue-tinged green blades bear a likeness to Sesleria caerulea but are longer, creating a spectacular display throughout the season. From spring through summer, beautiful thick and elongated blooms resembling those of Sesleria autumnalis appear, turning a purplish brown hue when mature and creating a colorful display.
