At Russian River Rootworks, we take pride in growing, packing, and shipping our plants with care so they arrive healthy and ready to thrive.

Shipping & Local Delivery Options

• Fast nationwide shipping across the lower 48 states
• Free local delivery in Ukiah
• Free delivery on orders $99+ from Ukiah to Santa Rosa
• $15 delivery fee for smaller local orders

Ordering Recommendations

To maximize value and reduce shipping costs, we recommend ordering 3–4 plants or more per shipment.

Where We Ship

• Live plants ship to the contiguous United States (lower 48 states)
• Seeds and hard goods may ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and PO Boxes
• Live plants require a valid street address for delivery

Processing Time

Most orders are prepared within 3–5 business days.

During peak seasons (especially spring and fall), processing times may be longer as we prioritize:

• Plant quality
• Careful packing
• Order accuracy

Shipping Schedule

We ship based on destination to protect plant health:

• California Orders: Ship throughout the week
• Out-of-State Orders: Ship Monday–Wednesday only to avoid weekend delays

This schedule ensures plants spend as little time in transit as possible.

Inventory & Availability

We work with live, fast-moving inventory.

Occasionally, plants may become:

• Sold out, or
• Not up to our quality standards at the time of fulfillment

If this happens, we may:

• Hold your order briefly to complete it, or
• Ship available items and resolve the rest separately

All decisions are made at our discretion based on timing, availability, and plant quality.

Our goal is always to ship your order as quickly as possible while maintaining quality and completeness.

Weather Holds

To protect plant health, we may delay shipments if temperatures fall:

• Below 35°F, or
• Above 90°F along the shipping route

Customers may request to “Ship Anyway”, but assume responsibility for plant condition upon arrival.

Packaging & Plant Safety

Each order is carefully packed using:

• Soil-stabilizing sleeves
• Breathable liners
• Moisture checks prior to shipment

Foliage may be lightly trimmed to ensure safe transit and healthy regrowth.

Live Arrival Guarantee

We guarantee your plants will arrive alive and in good condition.

If your order arrives damaged:

• Contact us within 48 hours
• Provide photos of plants and packaging

We will review and provide a resolution, which may include:

• Store credit (preferred)
• Replacement
• or refund, depending on the situation

Establishment Window

If a plant fails within 14 days of delivery despite proper care:

• We will provide store credit for the plant price (one-time resolution)

We cannot guarantee plant performance beyond this period due to factors outside our control.

What’s Not Covered

• Shipments sent under “Ship Anyway” conditions
• Delayed pickup or improper care after delivery
• Planting outside recommended conditions
• Pest, disease, or environmental stress after arrival

Cancellations & Order Changes

Orders may be changed or canceled until 9:00 AM PT on the scheduled ship day.

After that, orders are considered in processing and cannot be modified.

Returns

• Live plants are non-returnable
• Hard goods may be eligible for return — contact us for details

Care on Arrival

• Unpack immediately
• Water if soil is dry
• Allow 24–48 hours to acclimate before planting
