Nassella tenuissima (syn. Stipa tenuissima) – Mexican Feather Grass
Few grasses match the ethereal beauty of Nassella tenuissima, whose incredibly fine, light green foliage moves with the slightest breeze, creating a soft, shimmering effect in the garden. From summer onward, silky plumes emerge green and age to a warm golden-brown, adding months of airy texture to borders, rock gardens, and containers. Deer resistant and excellent for erosion control. Self-sows freely — deadhead to manage spread.
