Milium effusum 'Aureum' ('Bowles Golden') – Wood Millet
One of the finest grasses for shaded gardens, Milium effusum 'Aureum' lights up dark corners with its luminous golden-yellow foliage that gently arches and softens through summer. A tufting semi-evergreen perennial, it's a natural companion for ferns and hostas in woodland settings, and equally at home in rock gardens, water gardens, and shaded borders. Dainty greenish-yellow spikelets bloom in spring through summer, rising 12–18" above the foliage. Deer resistant and butterfly-attracting.
