Small Cape Rush, Thatch Reed
Restio: Deer resistant. Native to South Africa. Perennial that forms a broad, dense clump with stiff dark green stems and dark brown flower spikes. Plant performs best in moist, well-draining sandy soil. But can also tolerate drought, boggy or clay soils. Sensitive to fertilizers, particularly those high in phosphorus. Height: 2-3 feet. Width: 3-4 feet. Exposure: sun/part shade. Water: moderate. USDA Z8. |
