Small Cape Rush, Thatch Reed
Restio: Deer resistant. Perennial that forms a broad, dense clump with stiff gray-green stems & dark brown flower spikes. Plant performs best in moist, well-draining sandy soil. Sensitive to fertilizers, particularly those high in phosphorus. Size: 2-3' x 3-4'. Sun/part shade. USDA Z8. CHONDROPETALUM tectorum was split into: tectorum 2-3' & elephantinum 4-6' in height. |
