A cheerful Texas native perennial, Calylophus drummondianus produces sweet, cup-shaped bright yellow four-petaled flowers from spring through fall above a tidy, deciduous mound of foliage. Exceptionally drought tolerant and deer resistant once established, it is a reliable and low-maintenance choice for sunny borders, rock gardens, and containers. Shear lightly in spring just before new growth begins to keep it compact and floriferous. Attracts butterflies throughout the season.
