A delightful compact hybrid discovered by Josh Williams at Cal Flora Nursery, 'Little Nootka' combines the best traits of its parents — C. foliosa and C. nutkaensis 'The King' — into a tidy, mounding clump with gracefully arching wheat-colored plumes that gently nod over mid-green foliage. California native in character, drought and deer tolerant, and versatile enough for borders, meadows, pots, and cut flower use. A lovely, low-maintenance grass for a wide range of garden styles.
