Artemesia californica 'Canyon Gray' – Trailing Sagebrush
A workhorse California native groundcover with finely divided, aromatic light gray-green foliage that spreads into a compact, weed-suppressing mat. 'Canyon Gray' is the go-to choice for large-scale bank stabilization, the top of retaining walls where it can cascade gracefully over the edge, and rock garden plantings where its silvery texture provides year-round contrast. Flowers are sparse and inconspicuous — the foliage is the star. Highly aromatic and deeply drought tolerant once established.
