Teucrium cossonii – Creeping Germander (syn. T. majoricum, T. cussonii, T. pulverulentum)
This attractive evergreen perennial shrublet forms a low, spreading mat of profusely branched stems, with gray-green foliage above and contrasting white leaf undersides. Rose lavender flowers bring lovely summer color and attract bees and butterflies. Its compact height and broad spread make it an excellent choice for borders, rock gardens, and edging, while drought and coastal tolerance suit water-wise plantings. Deer resistance and some gopher resistance add practical garden appeal. Plant in full sun with moderate to dry conditions.
