Tagetes lemmonii – Mexican Marigold (Mt. Lemmon Marigold; syn. T. palmeri)
Golden orange flowers and aromatic foliage give this attractive evergreen perennial a warm, lively presence in sunny borders. Mexican marigold can flower throughout the year, with its heaviest display from winter through spring, bringing cheerful color when many other garden plants are resting. The long-lasting flowers make lovely cut stems and attract butterflies, while drought tolerance and deer resistance add practical appeal.
