Avis Keedy is a rare and distinctive color form of California’s beloved Hummingbird Sage, prized for its unusual lemon-yellow flowers fading to creamy white — a striking departure from the typical magenta-rose of the species. Like the species, it is a California native with intensely fragrant foliage that releases a rich, strawberry-grape scent when brushed, and it spreads by rhizomes to form a low, ground-hugging colony. Flower stalks rise to 36 inches above the spreading foliage carpet, bearing clusters of blooms on bright green bracts from summer through fall. Outstanding under oak trees, on shaded slopes, and in woodland gardens. Drought, deer, and gopher tolerant.
