One of the most celebrated lavenders in the world, Lavandula x intermedia 'Provence' is the variety most associated with the sweeping purple fields of southern France. A natural hybrid between English and spike lavender, it produces exceptionally long, branching flower stems bearing soft lavender-blue blooms that are intensely fragrant — prized for centuries for their essential oil, used in perfume, aromatherapy, and culinary applications.
