Heuchera Kira 'Jersey' – Coral Bells

Heuchera Kira 'Jersey' – Coral Bells (Alum Root)

This attractive Kira Series perennial brings an evolving tapestry of foliage color to the garden. Lobed leaves emerge silver with brilliant red veins, then deepen to dark red as the season progresses. Dainty red bell-shaped flowers rise on dark stems above the compact foliage mound in summer, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. Its lovely foliage and tidy habit make 'Jersey' excellent for rock and woodland gardens, borders, mixed containers, and accents, with flower stems also useful for cutting. Evergreen in suitable conditions and tolerant of deer, heat, coastal conditions, and clay, it appreciates well-drained soil and moderate moisture. Give it sun to part shade, favoring protection from strong afternoon sun in hot locations.
