Often touted as the superior replacement for G. 'Johnson's Blue', 'Brookside' delivers the same stunning sapphire-blue flowers but with an easier, more vigorous constitution. One parent is G. pratense, lending it excellent adaptability to a range of conditions including drought, clay soils, and light shade. Deer resistant and somewhat gopher resistant, it's a reliable workhorse for borders, containers, and rock gardens that blooms generously from late spring into summer.
