Introduced by the Theodore Payne Foundation, Eriogonum fasciculatum 'Warriner Lytle' is a low, ground-hugging California native buckwheat with exceptional drought tolerance and year-round visual interest. Its needle-like foliage is dark green on top and white underneath, creating a striking two-tone texture. In summer, clusters of pinkish-white flowers emerge and gradually fade to a rich, rusty brown — providing months of color and an invaluable food source for butterflies. An excellent choice for rock gardens, slopes, and dry naturalistic landscapes.
