Epilobium canum 'Sierra Salmon' – California Fuchsia
A California-native perennial selection, 'Sierra Salmon' brings a warm glow to the late-season garden with salmon-orange flowers, a distinctive shade between the typical red forms and the pink of 'Marin Pink'. Its Sierra Nevada provenance gives it cold hardiness not found in some coastal California fuchsia forms. Attractive gray-green foliage provides a lovely backdrop through the growing season, while the flowers offer excellent hummingbird nectar from late summer through fall. Drought tolerant and deer resistant, it is an excellent choice for California-native plantings and low-water hummingbird gardens.
