Campanula portenschlagiana (syn. C. muralis) – Dalmatian Bellflower
One of the most reliable and floriferous low-growing bellflowers, Campanula portenschlagiana forms a dense, spreading mat of small rounded leaves that is completely smothered in rich violet-blue star-shaped flowers in spring and early summer. Native to the Dalmatian coast of Croatia, it is exceptionally tough and adaptable, thriving in rock gardens, wall crevices, and container edges where it cascades beautifully. It often reblooms in fall with a second flush of flowers.
