Salvia leucophylla 'Point Sal Spreader' – Gray Sage (Mexican Purple Sage)
A California-native evergreen shrub with a lovely, spreading form, 'Point Sal Spreader' makes an excellent groundcover for borders and slopes where erosion control is important. More prostrate than the species, it develops broader, greyer leaves, with apple-green new growth becoming grey-white as temperatures warm. Light pinkish-purple spring flowers attract butterflies, while its drought tolerance and deer resistance make it a practical choice for dry gardens.
