Gazania tomentosa – Silver Leaf Gazania
A lovely South African perennial, silver leaf gazania forms a spreading mat of densely woolly, silvery-gray to green leaves with a luminous, frosted appearance. Bright yellow daisy flowers rise above the foliage from spring into fall, adding warm color against the cool silver leaves. Attractive even between bloom cycles, this drought-tolerant, deer-resistant groundcover is excellent for sunny slopes, coastal gardens, and low-water plantings, where its dense growth helps cover exposed soil. Give it full sun and well-drained soil for a practical, eye-catching carpet of foliage and flowers.
