The coastal form of California's beloved state flower, Eschscholzia californica var. maritima produces cheerful golden yellow cup-shaped blooms with a distinctive orange center from spring through summer above finely cut, blue-green foliage. Naturally adapted to coastal conditions, it self-sows freely and naturalizes beautifully in meadows, borders, and wildflower gardens. Drought and clay tolerant, deer resistant, and fire retardant.
