Delosperma 'Violet Wonder' – Ice Plant

Delosperma 'Violet Wonder' – Ice Plant (Wheels of Wonder Series)

This delightful Wheels of Wonder selection carpets the garden with plump, succulent foliage and bright violet flowers surrounding white centers. Its long-lasting display extends from spring through fall, bringing lovely color and visiting butterflies to rock gardens, borders, containers, and sunny groundcover plantings. A selection of South African ice plant parentage, 'Violet Wonder' forms a dense, low mat and offers excellent drought tolerance once established, along with deer resistance. Plant in full sun for the best flowering, or a sunny part-shade position, and provide excellent drainage, especially in winter. Space plants 12–18 inches apart for groundcover, water regularly while roots establish, and then reduce watering.
