Perennial Herb/Subshrub: This is a selection from Salvia gesneriiflora 'Tequila', and has the same features but with a longer bloom season. Deer, drought and gopher resistant. Good border plant. Stems are brittle-cut so back in spring to encourage new growth. Good nectar source for hummingbirds. Attracts butterflies. Bloom time: spring-fall. Color: red w/purple calyx. Size: 5-6' x 4'.
